This is my first fanzine. I’ve written poetry and stories since I was a child, but never tried to share my writing with anyone. Don’t let the title fool you – this is NOT an alternate universe 'zine but a comparison of lifestyles within the city of New York. It is my version of the "happy life" I felt Vincent and Catherine were cheated out of by the "powers that be". It begins near the end of Second Season and is what I refer to as "My B&B Reality". Thus it ignores Third Season, which I refer to as "Koslow’s B&B Reality". Even though I am a professed "Classic Fan" I would like to say that I believe totally in freedom. There is room in fandom for all of us – no matter what drew us to the wonderful show, "Beauty and the Beast". What drew me was the incredible love between two people from different worlds and the message that we all need to look beneath the surface to find the good in everyone. This is my way of trying to help keep the dream alive. However, this fanzine has a dual purpose. In addition to wanting Vincent and Catherine to have the kind of life I felt they deserved, I had a burning desire to try to change the image of a group of people who have been stereotyped by their outward appearance. As these characters interact with those of the Tunnels, I hope to reveal the parallels between their lifestyle and that of those Below.
